Dr Glenn Bryan leads the Potato Genetics Group at JHI. He obtained his PhD at Washington University in St Louis, USA. He has worked on various organisms, Drosophila, dairy cattle, rice, wheat and potato. His work focuses on the genetics of important potato traits that underpin potato breeding, such as tuber quality traits and durable pest and disease resistance. He led the UK team participating in the Potato Genome Sequencing Consortium, for which he also served on the steering committee.
