Jacob Hamilton

Jacob is a PhD student, funded by BBSRC NRPDTP, at the University of East Anglia where he is searching for new medicines inside Leafcutter Ant nests. Over the course of his Bachelor’s and Master’s at Kingston University, Jacob gained an interest in how science is communicated to the public and to policy makers as well as the role scientists play in disseminating their research. Jacob works regularly with local schools and the UEA to talk to children about his research, and is eager to learn more about engaging with policy makers and the public during his internship at Sense about Science.
